Students.
In close proximity to Neuss, there are several public and state universities, colleges and academies attracting students from all over the world. Besides, the opening of a university in Neuss specializing in the fields “school of logistics” and “school of commerce” is planned for Oktober 2009.
The first and most important question after enrollment is: where to stay? At every university in Germany, there is an organization providing social, financial and cultural support services to students, the so-called Studentenwerk. Here, you can also apply for a room in one of the student residence halls. Those seeking a little more individuality might rather rent a room in a shared flat. Apartment listings can be found on the universities’ notice boards, in local newspapers or on the Internet.
In the evenings, there are many bars, clubs and restaurants waiting for the local students to turn night into day.
