Swimming.
Swimming is not difficult. It is almost in the nature of human beings to swim as the human body. Even though the human body consists of 70% water it is lighter than water and floats. Everyone can swim – theoretically.
Still many people are nonswimmers and especially among children. But there are lots of clubs and associations that have committed themselves to a better swim education. A wide choice of formation is offered by the DLRG (Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft e.V.) the German Live Saving Federation which, with 900,000 members, is the biggest association of its kind worldwide. It's easy to join swimmers good and bad can improve their skills.
Those who prefers to swim by themselves can also visit one of the 20 indoor swimming pools or 4 open air pools. There is also two lakes, Kaarster See and Straberg-Nievenheimer See near the city of Neuss.
