If there’s anything nicer to do in Neuss than dining out, it’s got to be dining in, especially if you forgo the cramped, bar-coded world of the German supermarket and head instead for one of the city’s outdoor markets to do your shopping.
At farmers’ markets, Wochenmärkte, you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, flowers and herbs. Here, the accent is on freshness, quality and human interaction. There are two large weekly farmers’ markets in the city center of Neuss. The first one takes place from Tuesday till Friday at the Markt. The second one, which is located just around the corner at the Münsterplatz, only takes place on Saturdays.
