"Amazing Dusseldorf" is well-named; for it is an amazing concept.  And like all good ideas it is simple and obvious…once somebody else has thought of it.

I’ve been in Dusseldorf since August 2005.  When you first arrive you might think it is a small, quiet, provincial city with not much to offer.  It doesn’t take much time to realise, however, that the truth is quite different. Dusseldorf is relatively small and provincial, and that is part of its charm and the pleasure of living here.

But quiet it ain’t. There’s an awful lot going on, catering for every sort of taste.  The trouble is how do you find out what, where and when?  And that’s where “Amazing Dusseldorf” comes in: a portal to everything you might want to know about living in Dusseldorf.

I am sure "Amazing Dusseldorf" will be of particular value to new arrivals in Dusseldorf from abroad.  It can be hard enough finding your way around a new city when you speak the language and know the country.  When you don’t, it’s many times more difficult. Many foreign arrivals will only stay in Dusseldorf for a short time.

So speed is of the essence in discovering what is going on and when. "Amazing Dusseldorf" will provide the shortcut to finding what you want. It will also be an invaluable support to those staying for longer and hoping to build ties in the community.

For British citizens who need passport or other Government services, and for other nationals needing visas to visit the UK "Amazing Dusseldorf" provides a link to the website of the Consulate General here in Dusseldorf.

Enjoy the browsing!
